  • 2024 Pretrial Acquittal: Constitutional Speedy Trial Violation

    The client had a difficult night at home and decided to spend the night in her car, parked in an overnight parking location at a local gas station. Law enforcement were called to check on the car, as the gas station attendant found the circumstances suspicious. After a drug dog alerted on the vehicle, the client was accused of possession of methamphetamine and felony bail jumping in 2021.

    The client struggled to locate counsel for years until Attorney Drury was appointed to the case in January of 2024. Attorney Drury challenged the legality of both the search of the client’s vehicle and the delay in processing her case, demanding a speedy trial.
